Jaguar Self Driving Car Unveiled In NYC

By 2020, the firms say 20,000 self-driving Jaguar sport utility vehicles (SUVs) will be part of Waymo’s public fleet.

The launch comes a week after an Uber self-driving car killed a woman in the state of Arizona. The cause is still unknown.

Elon Musk Pulls Brands From Facebook

Elon Musk started a move called #deletefacebook. The movement has grown after data firm Cambridge Analytica was accused of obtaining the personal information of about 50 million users. Mr. Musk had poked fun at speaker brand Sonos after it said it would suspend advertising on Facebook for one week.

His followers challenged him to have his own companies’ pages deleted, which he did within minutes. The pages had more than 2.5 million followers each before they were deactivated.

 

Uber Haults Self Driving Cars After Death

A woman was hit by a car and killed as she crossed the street in Tempe, Arizona. The death comes a year after Uber took self-driving cars off the road and turned an SUV Volvo on its side. Uber said it’s working with local law enforcement to understand how the accident happened.

Blackberry Modified To Help Drug Cartels

Phantom Secure, a Canadian based company, encrypted Blackberries for international drug trafficking. The charges marked the first time US authorities have targeted a company for knowingly making encrypted technology for criminals.

The maximum punishment you can get for drug trafficking is life in prison, with no possibility of parole. Street drugs, that are not prescribed, are bad.
