Disney Loses In Redbox Copyrighting

Redbox bought retail copies from Disney to resell in Redbox’s millions of DVD rental kiosks. Disney and Redbox faced a California judge to determine which side was going to win. Disney claimed Redbox was violating their copyright terms, while Redbox claimed that Disney was misusing the copyright terms because the codes were not allowed for reselling.

In the end, the judge ended up siding with Redbox, and Disney was in the dust. The judge declared Redbox wasn’t violating any copyright terms and Disney just will have to put up with it.
